Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bhara

The initiative ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Through this innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different states & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the states, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.

Therefore the  College is also taking the initiative of  ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’  by performing various activities as well as under the initiative of NSS UNIT.The Government Sanskrit College which was established in Sikkim in the year 1997 at Gyalshing (West Sikkim). Since its inception, it has been affiliated to Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, U.P. 2004 .Later, it was shifted to Samdong present campus in 2010 .College has been also Accredited by NAAC with ‘C’ Grade in February 2019.

Following are the report of activities performed by G.S.C.

1.With the NCC coordinator and student of G.S.C also performed a awareness program on Covid-19 to the society.

2. 21st  JUNE which is known also as” International Day of Yoga”  but due to social distance and theme set as “Yoga for health -Yoga at Home”.Student of G.S.C also participated on this day by doing Yoga at their home.

3.Student of G.S.C  they also participated in various activities, such as attending webinars, participating in online poem and quiz  competition.

4.Prepared a short video by student reciting a poem on Covid-19.
