|The Government Sanskrit College was established in Sikkim in the year 1997 at Gyalshing (West Sikkim). Since its inception, it has been affiliated to Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, U.P. 2004 .Later, it was shifted to Samdong present campus in 2010 .
College has been Accredited by NAAC with ‘C’ Grade in February 2019.
| The candidates seeking admission for different courses are given more than 15 days’ time. Usually the admissions are open immediate after the completion of the annual examination in the month of April- May .
